- This PRN position primarily covers Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with the possibility of additional coverage on Tuesday and Wednesday depending on staffing needs.

Responsibilities
- The Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Nurse is a multifaceted, evidence-based, registered nurse specialty which incorporates a unique body of knowledge to provide excellence in prevention, health maintenance, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitative nursing care to select patients.
- This complex, interdependent nursing specialty encompasses all patient populations across the continuum of care.
- The WOC nurse directs efforts at guiding optimal patient care that improves the quality of life for individual with wound, ostomy, and continence concerns, achieving positive clinical outcomes though its unique scope of practice.
- This nursing specialty demonstrated experience in specific areas of clinical practice further developed though specialty certification.
- The WOC nurse additionally utilizes the nursing process in the following major areas: practice, education, consultation, research, and admission.
Qualifications
- ADN
- Ability to present information in an educational format
- Must maintain current Texas RN License
- Certification by the WOCN or working toward certification.
