SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day equipment operations of the 1st team. This includes but is not limited to the set up and break down of training sessions, assisting with the distribution and inventory management of equipment and apparel, and traveling with the team during the pre-season and regular season schedule.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Coaching, Athletic Training, Sport Performance, and Operations staff to help execute successful training sessions.
- Assist with the maintenance and daily cleaning of all training apparel. Work with the rest of the Equipment staff to maximize the efficiency of the daily laundry for 1st team, MLS Next Pro, Academy teams and staff.
- Assist in the distribution of apparel and footwear to Players, Coaches and Staff.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of all apparel and equipment for 1st team, MLS Next Pro, and Academy
- Assist in the heat press printing of game uniforms and training apparel.
- Assist with the packing of equipment for all preseason, MLS regular season, Open Cup, and MLS Playoff games.
- Travel with the team to all preseason trips and occasional MLS regular season games, Open Cup games, and MLS playoff games to support team equipment needs.
- Set up of game day equipment in the locker room for all home matches at Gillette Stadium.
- Liaise with visiting team equipment staff to assist with any needs during home matches at Gillette Stadium.
- Assist with the maintenance and storage of all training equipment (i.e. goals, coaching sticks, training mannequins, cones, hurdles, and pinnies).
- Coordinate with Facility staff (cleaning crew, maintenance workers) to maintain the daily training facility and game-day Gillette stadium locker room spaces. This includes submitting work orders to fix any issues, maintain the spaces in a clean, presentable, and workable condition, purchase new equipment to meet team needs and liaising with stadium operations on long term projects.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- 2 - 3 years of prior experience working in an Equipment role for a soccer team required, experience with a professional team preferred.
- Prior experience working with a heat press to create game jerseys preferred but not required.
- Personable, dependable, trustworthy and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Self-motivated and possess a strong sense of accountability.
- Effective communication skills, written and oral.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work long hours and nights/weekends, including some holidays.
- Heavy lifting and carrying may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This job entails working in both an office environment as well as outside in all elements (i.e. heat, cold, rain, snow).
- International and Domestic Travel are required as well as working nights and weekends as needed.
