Work Schedule:
Monday- Friday, day hours. No weekends or on-call coverage. Occasional coverage for consults at American Family Children's Hospital.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality and cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments of pediatric patients with acute and chronic mental illness in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Assess the patient's psychosocial, cognitive, developmental and medical status and identify functional assets and limitations of both the patient and family system.
  • See patients and family members as needed for new and follow-up psychiatric care including medications and psychotherapy.
  • Be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.

Education:
Minimum -
If Nurse Practitioner:

  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program

If Physician Assistant:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum -
If Nurse Practitioner:

  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in Psychiatric-Mental Health.

If Physician Assistant:

  • Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND
  • Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:

  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
