Summary:

In this role, you will support the development, execution, and performance management of high-impact strategic sourcing programs that deliver measurable value to clients, strengthen contract commitment, and advance sourcing priorities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, analytics, legal, sales, operations, data services, suppliers, and clients, to advance initiatives through the sourcing lifecycle, support governance and decision-making, drive implementation readiness, and monitor contract adoption, utilization, and value realization. You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance program performance, stakeholder engagement, and speed-to-value.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage program structures, processes, tools, governance activities, and operating rhythms that support strategic sourcing objectives and measurable outcomes.

  • Coordinate strategic sourcing initiatives throughout the sourcing lifecycle, including opportunity assessment, workplan development, client engagement, supplier coordination, implementation planning, and performance monitoring.

  • Prepare governance materials and facilitate decision-making processes for councils, panels, sourcing updates, and other cross-functional leadership forums.

  • Partner with contracting, analytics, and data services teams to support supplier negotiations, contract strategy, utilization analysis, implementation activities, compliance monitoring, and value realization.

  • Develop training materials, implementation resources, promotional content, and stakeholder communications that support program adoption and engagement.

  • Identify sourcing opportunities through research, outreach, market analysis, and evaluation of new business opportunities, value propositions, and program capabilities.

  • Serve as the operational liaison for internal and external stakeholders by resolving issues, communicating program impacts, supporting client-facing activities, and managing supplier and client escalations.

  • Schedule and participate in supplier, distributor, client, and internal business reviews to evaluate performance, share insights, and support ongoing program success.

  • Establish, monitor, and report key program metrics, including participation, contract utilization, implementation progress, financial performance, risks, timelines, and realized value.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen sourcing operations, governance, stakeholder engagement, reporting, implementation processes, and overall program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience supporting strategic sourcing, program management, contract operations, or healthcare supply chain initiatives preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives while coordinating cross-functional teams and competing priorities.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to engage clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Experience developing governance materials, training resources, implementation tools, and executive-level communications preferred.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills with attention to detail and execution.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
