Position summary

Sikich is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Consultant. The Staff Consultant will support data analytics and performance management efforts for a federal client by transforming complex data into actionable insights. The role is responsible for assisting in the development of data models, dashboards, and performance metrics that enable informed decision-making across the organization. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the Staff Consultant will contribute to data validation, visualization, and governance activities while supporting both technical and client-facing deliverables.

What will you do in this role?

  • Understand and grasp client business requirements
  • Review data sources to validate their quality and determine their utility for measuring performance.
  • Organize logical data models to consolidate data from various systems under the supervision of a senior team member.
  • Develop dashboards to monitor required measures and visualization trends at all levels of the organization under the supervision of a senior team member.
  • Write technical documentation for data, dashboards, and other analytics as part of the governance framework.
  • Contribute to non-technical deliverables, presentation materials, status reports and coordinating meetings.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Experience with developing Tableau/Power BI data visualization dashboards to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and/or Python for querying, analyzing, and transforming large datasets.
  • Experience with developing data models to transform and harmonize data from disparate data sets.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis techniques (trend analysis, distributions, clustering, outlier detection).
  • Ability to design data validation, quality checks, and integrity assessments to ensure reliability of reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, with the ability to create polished, client-ready deliverables.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to craft professional communications for a variety of stakeholders (business process owners up to C-Suite).
  • Responsiveness to client needs and dedication to client service.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $71,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
