Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing Excellence, the Nursing Excellence and Magnet Program Coordinator serves as a subject matter expert and technical leader supporting Nursing Excellence and Magnet program initiatives. Leads implementation of key program components and partners with nursing and interprofessional leadership to translate strategic priorities into operational activities that advance nursing excellence and support American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet designation. Provides consultation, analysis, and programmatic support to enhance the culture of nursing excellence across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Possession of current California RN License without restrictions
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, or Master's degree in a healthcare related field
- Five (5) years of quality, education, Evidence-Based Practice (EBP), informatics, or similar experience
- Experience in Professional Governance system or practice council (chair or co-chair)
- Experience in professional writing, presentations, and teaching or education of nurses
- Experience influencing and collaborating with leadership across disciplines
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities, and to quickly assess highly complex and urgent problems to develop an expedient path of resolution
- Strong skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey complex clinical, technical information in a clear and concise manner, and to produce high-quality documentations and presentations
- Organizational and project management skills, and ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and see project through from inception to completion on schedule
- Progressive expertise in education and training program development and implementation, nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Skills to influence and collaborate with leadership across disciplines
- Ability to listen, solve problems and develop strong interpersonal relationships with others
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues
- Full command (verbal and written) of the English language
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and nursing research
- Knowledge of performance improvement principles, theories and practices
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)

Work Environment
