STGi is currently seeking a Transport Driver to provide services at the Georgia War Veterans Home.



JOB SUMMARY:


To support the facility by safely transporting residents to and from appointments and outings.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Maintain safety objectives and standards in accordance with current regulations and guidelines.
* Accumulate, maintain and provide van and other logs and records as directed.
* Maintain safe driving protocols including vehicle maintenance checks.
* Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator concerning safety procedures and van repairs and maintenance.
* Be able to adjust to changes in assignments to meet resident and facility needs.
* Participate in in-service and other meetings as directed.
* Agree not to disclose assigned user ID codes or other resident/community communication; promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
* Interact with residents, family members, provider representatives and other employees in a respectful manner.
* Work cooperatively with other department personnel to ensure safety procedures meet the needs of the facility and residents.
* Maintain an excellent working relationship with medical professionals and other health related facilities and organizations.
* Ensure that established safety precautions are implemented and followed at all times.
* Inspect/test van and lift devices in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Be able to locate and correctly use emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
* Report moving violations and/or other citations/arrests which could potentially affect the driving license or other conditions of the job.
* Demonstrate ability to identify and respond appropriately to potential resident behavioral outbursts.
* Adhere to meal, break and clock in/out procedures.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
* Willing to support the facility and residents as required.
* Accept other assignments as directed.

Required Skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


* Must possess a valid driver's license with minimum of two years' driving experience and meet the company driver record requirements.


* Must be able to legally work in the United States.

Required Experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:


* High school diploma or GED required.



WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


The physical demands and work environment described herein is a representative of those that generally must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:



* This position primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing and pulling (typical weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 50 lbs., approximately), and lifting (minimum weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 75 lbs., approximately).
