Critical Care - Advanced Practice Provider Opportunities - Washington, D.C. Region

MedStar Health is seeking experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (AGACNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our growing Critical Care teams throughout the Washington, D.C. region, including opportunities at:

MedStar Washington Hospital Center,

MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, and

MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center

Opportunities are available in both Mixed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Units (ICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units (CVICU), caring for some of the region's most complex and critically ill patients.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients in ICU and CVICU settings
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Collaborate with attending physicians, intensivists, surgeons, consulting specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
• Perform advanced bedside procedures consistent with training, experience, and departmental needs
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination
• Provide patient and family education and support

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current AGACNP certification (NP) or NCCPA certification (PA)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Eligible for licensure in Maryland and the District of Columbia
• One year or more of Critical Care, ICU, CVICU, Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, or other relevant inpatient experience
• Experience managing high-acuity patients in an inpatient setting
• Experience performing advanced procedures
