The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a corporate associate to join the Investment Services team in our Chicago, New York, or Washington, DC office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. About You:

  • You have 3-6 years of corporate and securities law experience at a law firm, primarily working with SEC-registered investment advisers and private investment funds (specifically private equity, venture capital, real estate funds, etc.);
  • You have experience with regulatory and compliance matters regarding federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933;
  • You ideally have transactional/mergers & acquisition experience involving investment advisers and/or private investment fund (e.g., adviser M&A, continuation vehicles, secondary transactions, etc.);
  • You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously; and
  • You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials and are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois, New York, or District of Columbia).

Compensation:

  • $260,000 - $340,000 annual base salary
