What to Expect
The Janitorial Program Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing janitorial-related operations across Tesla manufacturing facilities. You'll ensure cleanliness and compliance on-site while managing the full lifecycle of procurement, vendor contracts, purchase orders, and financial controls. This is a hands-on position that requires a balance of vendor supervision and financial accountability while maintaining focus on delivering consistent, high-quality facility services across Tesla's facilities. You'll work closely with project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain operational excellence and support continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and supervise daily janitorial operations across multiple manufacturing sites, including task assignments and performance monitoring
- Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site vendors, as it pertains to both services and consumables, communicating priorities and ensuring accountability
- Manage multiple POs and vendor contracts, including evaluating performance and leading RFPs in partnership with procurement
- Approve and audit vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with POs and contracts while tracking budgets across sites, always maintaining audit-ready financials
- Collect and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), using data to identify trends, improve processes, and develop standardized procedures that support consistency across facilities
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure plans align with facility needs
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in janitorial or facility services within a manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume production environment
- 2-3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience with direct oversight of field staff
- Proven experience in managing POs, vendor bids, and invoice processing with a strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and financial compliance
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; able to build reports, track budgets, and analyze operational data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to lead teams, negotiate with vendors, and present data clearly
- Direct relevant experience not required, however a demonstrated ability to take initiative, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
- Willing and able to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call availability as needed
