Your responsibilities

Position Summary: This 3rd shift position works directly with equipment to build, set, measure and deliver tooling / supplies required for each work center. Maintain tooling that is not in use, maintain a clean working environment and support the tool sharpening and recycling programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace.
  • Through continuous monitoring and measurement, assure that all products meet or exceed the customer expectations and assure compliance with all procedural requirements.
  • Participate in inventory management and enter data in SAP.
  • Participate in continuous improvement by performing 5S+ Safety Audits, TPM activities and creating programs that foster cost reductions.
  • Communicate the needs of the department daily.
  • Follow the requirements of IS0-14001 and IS0-18001.
  • Perform tool building, setting and measuring.
  • Make entries into SAP for Inventory Management.
  • Operate small electrical equipment (e.g. tool pre-setter, hand tools, etc.)
  • Operate pneumatic and measuring equipment.
  • Perform required calibrations on measuring/inspection equipment.
  • Keep inventory count of material.
  • Manage waste removal from department.
  • Work professionally with outside vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned supervisor.

Education, Skills & Abilities: High School diploma or GED. Basic computer skills required. Math skills and knowledge of metric conversion required. Previous machining experience required. Blueprint and GD&T knowledge is necessary.

Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrup's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
