How You'll Make a Difference

You will lead the way learning experiences are designed across our portfolio-ensuring they are effective, consistent, and aligned with real-world professional outcomes. Connecting learning strategy to product execution. Defining how we translate complex topics into engaging, practical learning experiences, while guiding a team of instructional designers to deliver high-quality work at scale.

Setting the direction day-to-day for how we design courses and learning products, partnering closely with product and content teams, and stepping in on complex or high-impact projects to ensure the right design decisions are made. Playing a key role in evolving our approach: bringing in new methods, tools, and technologies that improve how people learn.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or related field; Master's degree or other equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • Extensive progressive experience in instructional design, with demonstrated mastery and a record of owning design strategy at a program or organizational level.
  • Prior experience in a functional lead, senior IC, or people management role, with demonstrated ability to set direction and elevate the work of others.
  • Experience working cross-functionally at a senior level, with product, content, and business stakeholders.
  • Expert-level mastery of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, assessment design, and curriculum architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive functional strategy, with final decision-making authority over design standards and quality.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills; ability to connect instructional design decisions directly to product outcomes and organizational priorities.
  • Experience building and governing organizational ID frameworks, standards, and quality systems at scale.
  • Ability to think systemically across a portfolio of products, audiences, and ID team capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence, align, and elevate the work of others - both through direct authority and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional coaching and team development skills; ability to build ID capability across all levels.
  • Deep experience with learning measurement and analytics; ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and demonstrate ROI.
  • Compelling communicator; able to present learning strategy and design rationale to executive and cross-functional audiences.
  • Experience leading organizational adoption of emerging learning technologies and instructional approaches.
  • Strong business acumen; comfortable operating at a high level of cross-functional scope and influence.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, delegate effectively, and make sound strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.
