We are seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to help maintain residential apartment properties on the East Side of Milwaukee. This is a hands-on position working inside tenant apartments , handling a variety of basic maintenance and repair needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance experience, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision. We are also open to candidates with a strong work history and some maintenance experience who are willing to learn and grow in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete maintenance repairs inside tenant apartments
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, leaks, and fixtures
  • Handle basic electrical repairs, such as outlets, switches, lighting, and troubleshooting
  • Repair drywall, patch holes, sand, and prepare surfaces
  • Perform painting, caulking, and touch-up work
  • Complete general carpentry and basic building repairs
  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Inspect units and identify needed repairs
  • Use company-provided tools and equipment properly
  • Drive a company van to different properties as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs

Requirements:

  • Previous property maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities, construction, or handyman experience preferred
  • Ability to complete basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general repair work
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must be dependable, professional, and able to work around tenants
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily repair tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Must be comfortable participating in an on-call rotation
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance work
