What You'll Do:

Pelican is looking for a hands-on HR Business Partner to support our manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. In this role, you'll work side-by-side with leaders and employees-helping navigate employee relations, performance management, and day-to-day workforce needs while reinforcing a strong, respectful, and team-driven culture.


This is a highly visible, on-site role where you'll balance HR execution with real-time support on the production floor. You'll partner closely with the HR Manager and Operations leadership to keep the business running smoothly and the workforce engaged.




  • Be the go-to HR partner for leaders and employees, supporting day-to-day workforce needs
  • Partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, attendance, and corrective actions
  • Maintain a strong, consistent presence on the production floor, supporting multiple shifts
  • Support investigations, documentation, and follow-up on workplace concerns
  • Help implement and communicate HR policies, programs, and company initiatives
  • Support onboarding, engagement efforts, and general HR operations
  • Partner with Operations and EHS to reinforce a safe, compliant work environment
  • Assist leaders with coaching conversations and employee support needs
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to HR leadership as needed
  • Perform Other Duties: Take on additional tasks as assigned to support plant reliability and operational goals.



What We're Looking For:



  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or operational environments
  • Experience supporting hourly employee populations preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems/HRIS platforms
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment with regular floor presence
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this positionis listed below. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
