Your Role:

The Manager, Regional Sales - Spatial Biology and Imaging is responsible for leading a high-performing team to drive sales and customer success across designated territories. This role integrates strategic planning, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to support Miltenyi Biotec's commercial goals. The Manager will oversee sales teams working within a relevant platform, depending on the business unit, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead, develop, and manage a high performing sales team.
  • Implement strategic sales/support plans aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and input for annual or periodic setting of sales goals.
  • Hire, develop, and maintain an effective team to support the company's sales objectives.
  • Provide regular remote and in-person coaching and feedback (formal and informal) to team to guide effective development and operations.
  • Meet with customers, assisting the team with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee territory planning, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Support product demonstrations, installations, and training.
  • Gather and report market insights and customer feedback.
  • Drive process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to company strategy.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences; 7+ years of experience in life sciences with demonstrated success in a leadership or support role; Minimum of 2 years managing a capital equipment team.
  • Ability to think strategically and connect short term plans with long term company goals.
  • Adept at building relationships both inside and outside of the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical expertise in relevant platforms (e.g., flow cytometry, microscopy).
  • Hands on experience within a lab environment preferred.
  • Immunology experience preferred.

Work Environment:

This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict safety guidelines and SOPs must be followed and Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. All persons performing this job will receive appropriate training prior to engaging in work requiring Personal Protective Equipment or SOP procedures. The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $160,952 - $189,355 (New York City area); $146,320 - $172,141 (Boston, MA); $139,004 - $163,534 (Philadelphia, PA and Baltimore, MD area) reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.

In addition to the base salary, the role is also eligible to participate in our broader compensation package, which includes performance-based incentives. The total compensation of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or car allowance.
