Function:

Administrative Job Summary:The Mechanical Integrity (MI) Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the Plant Engineering group at the Donaldsonville site, with a primary focus on the Mechanical Integrity program. This role supports routine and turnaround inspection activities by maintaining inspection documentation, entering inspection data into Mechanical Integrity systems, generating work requests, and maintaining engineering records. The MI Clerk also supports engineering document control and assists with orienting new engineering personnel to established departmental processes. Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of processes and procedures supporting the CF Donaldsonville Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.
  • Become proficient with Mechanical Integrity systems, including GE APM, and complete required training as assigned.
  • Prepare inspection work packages for inspections scheduled within defined timeframes to support efficient execution by Reliability Supervisors and contract inspectors.
  • Generate work requests and requisitions in the computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) to support inspection, Mechanical Integrity, and Plant Engineering activities, as directed.
  • Provide field office support for Mechanical Integrity activities during plant turnarounds and outages, as required.
  • Enter inspection data into Mechanical Integrity systems (e.g., GE APM) and maintain inspection documentation, including inspection reports, equipment data packages, and mechanical contractor turnover packages, in the electronic document management system (EDMS).
  • Maintain electronic equipment records, including U 1A forms, "R" forms, and "P" forms, in accordance with site recordkeeping requirements.
  • Lead the continued transition from hard copy equipment and piping inspection files to fully electronic documentation systems.
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) documentation updates related to Mechanical Integrity, including publishing approved documents to the EDMS.
  • Maintain, update, and format Mechanical Integrity procedures as required when program changes are implemented through MOCs.
  • Maintain a log of Plant Engineering MOC action items requiring closure and report outstanding actions to team members and supervision on a periodic basis.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting open piping and equipment inspection recommendations to support timely completion by Operations and Maintenance.
  • Track employee completion of Mechanical Integrity training in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Plant Engineering group and contract personnel executing Mechanical Integrity activities.
  • Assist with orientation of new Plant Engineers and Reliability Supervisors to established departmental and business processes.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and assignments to improve departmental effectiveness.
  • Provide additional Mechanical Integrity related support as requested.
  • Support the Donaldsonville facility as needed to help accomplish overall site objectives.

Internal Controls:

Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures that support

internal control efforts. Identifies and reports internal control deficiencies to department

management.

Successful incumbents will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience supporting an engineering organization at a manufacturing facility or engineering consulting firm.
  • Experience providing clerical or administrative support to a Mechanical Integrity program preferred.
  • Experience with document management systems, quality control documentation packages, and mechanical inspection standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce well organized, accurate, and grammatically sound documentation.
  • Experience with electronic document management systems, such as SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels and across diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required, particularly during plant turnarounds and unplanned outages.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training or other business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain organizational and control systems in support of departmental activities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Ability to comply with company drug and alcohol testing requirements, including random and for cause testing.
