At Utz Quality Foods, we're looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rice Distribution Center in Hanover, PA.

In this role, you'll help lead day-to-day warehouse operations while supporting the Warehouse Supervisor to keep the shift running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You'll play a key role in coordinating workflow, supporting team members on the warehouse floor, and stepping into leadership responsibilities when needed.

Shift: Friday to Sunday 5:30PM-5:30AM.

Responsibilities:



  • Support daily warehouse operations, including retrieving, organizing, and distributing outbound shipment materials
  • Oversee case-picking operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, and efficiency
  • Assign picking tasks, monitor progress, and coordinate workflow with replenishment and outbound teams
  • Validate picked orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper system entry
  • Ensure trailer and door assignments are correct to support on-time deliveries
  • Monitor trailer shortages, cube utilization, and operational flow throughout the shift
  • Assist loaders, pickers, conveyor operators, and warehouse associates to maximize shift efficiency
  • Load and unload conveyor systems, organize products into storage, and scan inventory accurately
  • Support inventory control through cycle counts, audits, and physical inventories
  • Investigate, document, and report incidents or operational concerns during the shift
  • Train and guide associates on picking systems, RF scanners, equipment operation, and safety procedures
  • Recommend and support process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and workflow
  • Step in as acting supervisor when needed and provide leadership coverage across shifts
  • Spend the majority of the shift on the warehouse floor actively supporting and supervising operations
  • Maintain quality, food safety, and warehouse safety standards at all times


Requirements:



  • Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Extensive forklift experience, including High Reach experience or willingness to learn
  • Experience with shipping, loading, and warehouse operations
  • Ability to plan and execute daily shipping schedules effectively
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using RF scanners, warehouse systems, and inventory tracking tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active warehouse environment
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented culture
  • Flexibility to support additional responsibilities and shift coverage as needed
