Could you be the full-time Project Quality and Safety Manager (PrQSM) in Pittsburgh, PA, we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality and safety expertise in a cutting-edge, innovative field. You'll work alongside collaborative and driven teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards across the D&IS portfolio while working to meet customer expectations and project requirements. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, industrial, and supplier quality, guide project teams on quality contributions, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of ensuring on-time delivery of project quality plans and managing customer quality interfaces, but also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate problem-solving during project execution.

We'll look to you for:




  • Acting as the interface with customer quality and safety teams across the D&IS portfolio.



  • Ensuring the application of project quality plans during contract execution in accordance with contractual and Alstom process requirements.



  • Coordinating project quality activities, including system and sub-system quality efforts.



  • Supporting project audits, reviews, and vendor quality system approvals.



  • Managing non-conformities and safety issues, ensuring timely resolution.



  • Facilitating project gate reviews and ensuring process continuity across platforms.



  • Driving APSYS improvement initiatives within Pittsburgh and Rochester sites.

  • Degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.



  • Experience or understanding of project quality management in a technical or industrial environment.



  • Knowledge of safety assessment processes and quality assurance practices.



  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools such as 8D and REX.



  • A Six Sigma or quality management certification is a plus.



  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.



  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work across teams and stakeholders.
