What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while coordinating with staff and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, help to deter unauthorized access, and document security-related activities, observations, and incident details in accordance with site expectations.
• Support a professional environment by following post orders, remaining prepared for rapid response, and assisting with de-escalation when appropriate in a healthcare setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Five or more years of security-related experience are required.
• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
