Wentworth Health Partners, an affiliate of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and member of Mass General Brigham Medical Group, offers comprehensive, personalized care for all stages of a woman's life in an atmosphere of privacy and trust in our Dover and Portsmouth locations. Our team of expert providers and specialists at OB/GYN and Infertility in Dover take a thoughtful approach to provide high-quality compassionate care in the areas of Obstetrics, Gynecology, Urogynecology, Infertility and LGBTQ+ care. In the Center for Women's Health and Wellness located in the state-of-the-art building on the Pease campus in Portsmouth, this dynamic team brings together expert OB/GYN physicians and midwives, along with nurse navigators to help women manage all aspects of their care. We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Clinic/Practice Assistant to join our team at our Dover, NH location, 15 Old Rollinsford Road, Suite 102. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. We're committed to delivering the highest level of care with a smile, and we're looking for people like you to help us do so! Clinic/Practice Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to administrative support, our Clinic/Practice Assistants serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations. We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting! Other duties include fielding all incoming telephone calls and routing appropriately, performing referral/diagnostic/lab orders processing duties, monitoring patient flow and waiting room activity, and providing general support to practice leadership, clinicians, and peers. The ideal candidate is a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills who thrives in a collaborative environment. They will bring strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both patients and colleagues to support a positive and efficient practice. Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under close to general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties. Actual job duties may vary by Department. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office. -Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records. -Greet and assist patients. -Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments. -File materials in patient folders, and print appointment schedules. -Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR. -Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results. -Open and distribute mail or faxes. -Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed. -May be required to accept co-payments. -Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations, referrals, and verify registrations for accuracy. -May monitor patients in waiting room and responds to any needs for information. -Assists in patient flow processes. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience healthcare office experience 0-1 year required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Basic Proficiency with all Office Suite. - Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing. - Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate. - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively. - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages. - Managing one's own time and the time of others. - Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
