DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this Administrative Officer 3 position, you will be responsible for planning and developing marketing and communication strategies to promote awareness of the Commission's programs and services and to increase the sale of hunting and furtaking licenses. Work also involves participating in and leading project and contractor management, our Marketing Division team, program support, and cross-agency communication. This includes supervising and managing Marketing Division staff, including daily operations, assignment of work, performance evaluation, coaching, and professional development. We will rely on your professional expertise and collaborative leadership abilities to determine appropriate marketing strategies, tools, and channels for promoting hunting-related products and public engagement programs; prioritize division resources, assigns staff tasks, and set timelines for marketing projects; and approve creative concepts and preliminary materials before external distribution. You will also be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of marketing and the ongoing evolution of the Commission's approaches through continuous research, evaluation, and stakeholder feedback. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Telework is not permitted during the initial six-month probationary period; eligibility may be granted upon its successful completion. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a current Class C driver's license which is not under suspension
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
