Within the Global Marketing function sits the Asset Management Marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the business. Marketing helps shape the Goldman Sachs Asset Management brand and protect and grow the business's reputation. They create and deliver targeted, integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels, paid media and in-person experiences, which broaden our client footprint, deepen relationships with clients, diversify our asset base, and fuel business growth. Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded Event Marketing Senior Associate to join our Asset Management Events Marketing team. This role sits at the intersection of event strategy, governance, and data, helping to build the firm's events platform from the ground up while ensuring it operates with rigor, consistency, and measurable impact across all asset classes and businesses. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in complex environments, can take ownership of a project from start to finish, and brings a structured approach to problem-solving. This is a foundational role - focused on creating the frameworks, processes, infrastructure, and insights that will define how the events function operates at scale. Key Responsibilities:
- Event Strategy and Budget: Support development of Asset Management event strategy, including prioritization of budget allocation by channel and product in line with business objectives and market trends
- Budget Management & Analysis: Maintain event budgets through weekly, monthly check-ins with stakeholders to ensure we have the latest information; run analyses of budget data to ensure we are maximizing ROI for all initiatives
- Events & Sponsorships Roadmap: Build and maintain a living document that maps events-related initiatives and enhancements to timelines, owners, and milestones
- Performance Measurement: Oversee track, analysis, and reporting on event performance metrics, including developing standardized templates for senior leadership reporting, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Measurement infrastructure: Partner with engineering, marketing, and sales to develop prioritized infrastructure build plan to enhance event execution (client invitations, attendee lists) and automate event measurement, including requirements gathering, CRM and event platform integration, vendor assessment, and vendor onboarding as needed
- Governance Model: Develop and implement governance processes and frameworks for overseeing planned events and assessing new opportunities
- Self-Directed Project Management: Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong initiative, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships and effectively manage expectations with internal senior leaders across marketing, sales, and investing

Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Analytics, Communications, or a related field * 4-6 years of experience in strategy, operations, or a related function; financial services or asset management industry preferred * Strong project management skills - able to independently take a project from brief to completion with minimal oversight * Demonstrated comfort working with data: building reports, analyzing trends, and presenting findings to senior audiences * Experience building processes, frameworks, or platforms in environments where they did not previously exist is highly valued * Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously * Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to distill complex information into clear, concise deliverables * Proven ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations and build productive working relationships across functions and levels * Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and event platforms is a plus * Self-starter with a proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a bias toward action * Understanding of Asset Management products, client segments, and the competitive landscape is a plus
Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
