What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical and sales support for the Automation Product Lines; including the 8000 series well site automation controllers and Smarten Unify controller.

  • Provide/facilitate technical training of field representatives on all aspects (from product knowledge to strategic sales) of all automation; with emphasis on Unify and 8000 series controllers; plunger lift, and gas lift products.

  • Provide technical installation and support (i.e. Unify, 8000 series pilots)

  • Provide sales support assistance in quoting, configuration, ordering, tracking, customer integration, and installation etc.

  • Internally communicate needs of targeted customers and work with other groups as needed to formulate solutions, new products and actions required to support the unify product line.

  • Compile and present technical papers to promote PCS Ferguson/SLB products and services.

  • Execute the field testing of products and systems performed by field staff.

  • Advanced troubleshooting of complete automation systems including interface to third-party devices;

  • Flow control valve operation via ItoP and PID loop configuration and set up;

  • Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineer or equivalent degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required.

  • 4 years of similar work experience/ engineering experience

  • Advance knowledge of third-party communications systems such as Airlink, MDS, FreeWave etc including the use of their configuration applications; the use of various third-party hosts such as XSPOC, Wonderware, Cygnet, etc. with emphasis on their interface to PCS controllers;

  • Plunger lift, GAPL/PAGL optimization preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication skills; verbal and written communication

  • Valid driver's licenses with clean record

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
