About the opportunity
As a Contract Lab Technician, you play a key role in supporting daily laboratory operations within an ISO 13485-compliant environment. You help ensure that essential labware, equipment, and materials are available, sterile, and ready for production use. This contract position is for 1 year.
Your tasks include
  • Ensuring that glassware and labware are clean, available, and ready for production activities.
  • Operating the autoclave to maintain sterility of equipment and associated labware.
  • Operating the Lancer glasswasher to consistently deliver clean labware.
  • Keeping the Sanitization area fully stocked and organized.
  • Preparing buffers and solutions following established procedures.
  • Working closely with other functional teams and communicating clearly via facetoface interactions, email, and written documentation.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and direct experience; a degree is not required when substantial handson experience is present.
  • 0-2 years of life sciences or laboratory work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong drive, determination, and willingness to contribute to team success.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and maintain positive working relationships across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt working hours when needed to complete critical tasks.

The typical pay rate for this role is $22/hour. This temporary and/or contract position is not eligible for QIAGEN's company benefits. The position includes only those benefits mandated by applicable state and federal law, if any, which are provided by the agency employer.
