As a Security Officer Unarmed Site Watch in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, campus policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity across the location, assisting with visitor directions, policy questions, and/or requests for support.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions in required reports, while communicating relevant updates to supervisors and/or designated campus contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
