Advanced Assembly, Inc. (AAI), located in University Research Park on the west side of Madison, is looking to add a Shipping Clerk to our well-trained and experienced staff. Advanced Assembly, Inc. is an electronics manufacturing services provider of electronic assemblies and products, including the Captioned Telephone (CapTel). This full-time position offers a first shift schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, a competitive starting wage and a full benefits package. Wage depending on experience. New Employees - Sign-On Bonus: The company is offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus to newly-hired, full-time employees. The bonus will be paid on the first check following successful completion of the employee's 90-day probationary period.

Job Summary: The Shipping clerk assists with incoming and outgoing shipments, ensures that orders are filled correctly, keeps track of inventory in the area, assists with daily stocking levels, and assists with tracking the date of delivery and all pertinent information involved in the process. - Maintain accurate inventory records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare items for shipment.
- Check and compare item details (counts, weights, measurements) for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipment information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Track delivery dates and related shipment details.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by primary supervisor.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand both verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Shipping experience with UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx Manager is preferred.
- Preferred experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or willingness to learn.
- Organized self-starter with the ability to multitask.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow established product handling procedures while complying with safety and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) guidelines.
- Able to coordinate with the Sales team to maintain on-schedule daily shipments.
- Professional communication skills for phone and email interactions.
