Enterprise Systems Engineer is a specialized professional focused on the comprehensive design, implementation, and management of complex systems within a business enterprise. This role is instrumental in ensuring that an organization's IT infrastructure aligns seamlessly with its strategic goals and operational needs. It involves a deep understanding of both the technical and business facets of the enterprise, requiring a blend of skills in systems architecture, integration, and process optimization. Core / Requirements Strong experience supporting and enhancing multi-tier web applications (UI, API, data layer) in a production environment. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues across app, database, OS, and network layers using logs, traces, and monitoring tools. Solid grounding in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, PowerShell) plus scripting for automation. Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL data stores, including writing efficient queries, analyzing query plans, and addressing performance issues. Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure access patterns (SSO, MFA, service accounts, least privilege). Practical experience with file transfer, integration, and messaging patterns (sFTP/SSH, APIs, webhooks, batch jobs, schedulers). Familiarity with CI/CD practices and source control (branching, code reviews, build and deployment pipelines). Demonstrated knowledge of application security fundamentals (OWASP-style issues, secrets management, patching, vulnerability remediation). Experience working with business stakeholders to triage incidents, clarify requirements, and translate functional needs into technical tasks. Track record of owning services end-to-end: documentation, runbooks, change planning, and post-incident reviews not just fixing tickets. Required Qualifications

Preferred Skills/Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as e-signature, document management/imaging, visa case management, business intelligence/reporting. Background in systems integration work: connecting cloud services, on-prem systems, and third-party vendors via APIs, queues, and batch pipelines. Experience designing or maintaining highly regulated or audited workflows (e.g., records retention, financial, HR, or compliance-driven processes). Familiarity with cloud application hosting (e.g., PaaS web apps, containers) and associated topics like scaling, health probes, and configuration management. Experience implementing or supporting monitoring and observability: dashboards, synthetic checks, alert design, and tuning noisy alerts. Hands-on exposure to identity and access management patterns for both users and machine identities (service principals, keys, certificates). Experience with automation of repetitive support tasks (scripts, small tools, or simple agents) to reduce manual toil in production support. Demonstrated ability to refactor or modernize legacy applications, including decom, migration planning, and technical-debt reduction. Experience mentoring junior engineers and setting standards for documentation, incident handling, and change management across a team. Strong written communication skills for clear runbooks, architecture notes, and stakeholder updates during incidents and planned changes. Proposed Salary
$109,136, depending on experience and preferred skills.
