Job Description

Red Seat Ventures is a digital media company specializing in talent-led content, audience development, and monetization strategy. Partnering with leading creators, brands, and media organizations, Red Seat Ventures builds, scales, and operates premium content businesses across audio, video, and streaming platforms.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Red Seat Ventures is seeking a Program Strategy Consultant to lead the development of a financial media, political, and sports commentary programming strategy during a three-month engagement. This consultant will shape the network's on-air talent strategy, design scalable and production-ready show formats, and identify licensed content opportunities to accelerate launch readiness.

Working closely with the Red Seat Ventures leadership team, this role will define the foundational programming architecture of a new network-balancing editorial credibility, audience growth potential, and operational efficiency within a lean production environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a comprehensive search and evaluation process to identify on-camera hosts, reporters, and contributors across financial media, political commentary, sports analysis, and adjacent subject-matter communities

  • Assess candidates for on-camera presence, subject matter expertise, brand alignment, and audience reach

  • Deliver a ranked talent shortlist including detailed profiles, sample work, and clearly defined role recommendations

  • Design a scalable programming framework built around efficient 2-3 hour production blocks

  • Develop show concepts, segment structures, recurring features, and tonal direction for each programming block

  • Propose sponsorship-friendly show themes and branded segment opportunities

  • Outline host pairings and hour-by-hour production structures to maximize efficiency and quality

  • Build a comprehensive 12-hour daily programming grid incorporating original, licensed, simulcast, and pre-produced content

  • Produce production-ready format documents for priority programs

  • Research and evaluate potential licensed content partners across financial media, political commentary, sports analytics, and adjacent verticals

  • Assess audience scale, content quality, and acquisition viability for potential licensing candidates

  • Deliver a curated licensed content sourcing report with acquisition strategy and outreach recommendations

  • Provide ongoing strategic counsel and participate in regular check-ins with the Red Seat Ventures team throughout the engagement

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Significant experience in media strategy, television or digital programming development, or content portfolio strategy

  • Proven track record of developing scalable show formats and programming grids

  • Deep familiarity with financial media, political commentary, sports analysis, or adjacent news and commentary ecosystems

  • Strong talent evaluation capabilities, including assessing on-camera presence and brand alignment

  • Experience sourcing and evaluating licensed or syndicated content

  • Ability to operate in a lean, fast-moving production environment and translate strategy into execution-ready documentation

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly to executive stakeholders

  • Strategic mindset with strong editorial judgment and audience-growth orientation

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience launching or advising early-stage digital media networks

  • Familiarity with financial news cycles, political analysis formats, and sports commentary programming models

  • Existing relationships with on-camera talent, agents, or digital content creators

  • Experience structuring sponsorship-integrated programming or branded content models
