SUMMARY
The Creative Project Manager (CPM) is a key member of the Savvas Creative Services Team, driving the development and execution of high-impact, cross-discipline marketing communication tools and corporate campaigns for Savvas Learning Company. Serving as a primary point of contact, this role collaborates across various functional areas, including Product Marketing, Design, Events, Video, Web, eCRM, Social Media, Content, and Production.


Specifically, this CPM role will support the creation of both external and internal communications, such as press releases, research studies, content marketing, webpages, graphics, videos, email, presentations, brochures, flyers, social media assets. This CPM role also manages the creative development and online delivery of approximately 10 digital catalogs that promote Savvas K-12 products across all disciplines. The CPM is responsible for leading the catalog process, including the preparation of manuscripts and design assets, reviewing content and page layout for accuracy, and incorporating Savvas branding. Collaboration is required with internal stakeholders across Corporate Communications, Product Marketing, Design, Digital Marketing, Customer Care, Procurement, Professional Learning, Grants & Funding, Research, Finance, and external production vendors.


The CMP ensures that content, production, and design schedules are coordinated and executed on time, with strategic focus, content accuracy, and brand compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Launch Projects: Perform intake, determine goals, identify scope and requirements, align resources, create, distribute, and monitor schedules.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end creative process, from concept development to execution, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Workflow Management: Review edits and annotate PDF tear sheets as necessary prior to submitting to production. Check production vendor layouts and proofs to ensure client edits are accurately reflected. Maintain project workflow by coordinating multiple rounds of catalog pages to production vendor and internal clients.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project stakeholders within product and functional teams to ensure creative concepts align with overall business goals and will resonate with target audiences.
  • Brand Compliance: Ensure the catalogs and all external materials display consistent branding, legal trademarks, and accurately express Savvas's voice in the marketplace.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and approve all creative materials to ensure consistency, brand integrity, and adherence to campaign objectives and/or legal guidelines.
  • Communication: Lead project status meetings and maintain weekly status reports. Provide real-time transparency to project workflows and identify risk to minimize unexpected issues. Lead discussions that encourage feedback and/or solutions and share with the team at large.
  • Internal/External Events: Provide creative support for internal meetings and national cross-discipline education conferences.
  • Adaptability: Recalibrate plans as needed based on stakeholder feedback. Stay informed of relevant trends and best-in-class competitor campaigns.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE


  • 5-years minimum experience leading the development of results-driven marketing materials across key business areas: Product Marketing, Design, Web, eCRM, Social Media Events, and Corporate Communications
  • Experience with the creative development process, including content and asset creation
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize each accordingly
  • Understanding of K-12 education market is a plus, but not imperative
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with excellent grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team-player attitude, excellent communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong design sense and experience working within a highly creative environment
  • Understanding of campaign web metrics to help inform more impactful campaigns
  • Experience with the Mac platform and proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Gmail, Google Documents, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, AI, photo research, etc. (InDesign and Photoshop knowledge helpful but not required.)
  • Familiar with Asana or similar project management software and digital flipbook software such as 3D Issue
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field required.
