Job Title: QA Engineer Automated 3.
Location: Austin, TX.

I. Description of services:
  • Client requires the services of QA Engineer Automated 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of QA Engineer Automated 3, Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing and the specifications outlined in this document for the Client.
  • All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Level Description:
  • 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • QA automation engineers design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes.
Additional job details and special considerations:
  • This QA Engineer Automated contractor position performs Quality Assurance activities for an application for the (PCS) Contract Operations team.
  • This application is part of an initiative to enhance and update the System Contract Operating and Reporting application to create a more robust and comprehensive system for agency contract management, monitoring, and compliance activities.
  • This position is part of the Administrative Applications Software Quality Assurance team and is responsible for developing and maintaining automated test cases using Playwright or similar technology, and for developing and maintaining test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Perform manual testing as required. Track test case execution. Establish regular automated schedules for test cases and required reporting. Use Jira to log and track defects. Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
  • Must have experience working in an Agile environment. Support the development team as needed in dev, test, UAT, and production, and troubleshoot test cases as required. Lead UAT testing activities as needed. Available for on-call support as needed.
II. Candidate skills and qualifications:

  • 10 Years Required: Experience in manual test script execution
  • 8 Years Required: Experience in automated QA testing
  • 8 Years Required: Experience in QA test script creation
  • 8 Years Required: Experience in performance testing
  • 5 Years Preferred: Experience in QA Automated Test Case Reporting
  • 5 Years Preferred: JavaScript, HTML Experience, Playwright, WebdriverIO, JMeter
  • 3 Years Preferred: Experience in Agile, Scrum, Jira, XRay, or Zephyr
  • 3 Years Preferred: Experience in accessibility testing
