Human Resources Director

Waukesha, WI

Position Overview

An MRA Member Company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead and manage all day-to-day HR functions. This role will partner closely with leadership to drive strategic initiatives related to talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals, including workforce planning, recruitment, and retention
  • Provide guidance to management and employees on complex HR matters, including employee relations and performance management
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with market trends
  • Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Manage and enhance onboarding programs to support employee integration and engagement
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with third-party vendors
  • Support performance management processes and align employee goals with organizational objectives
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to support compliance and best practices
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives



Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
  • Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
