Description and Requirements

Motorola is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PR & Social Intern to join our North American PR & SOcial Team. Reporting to the Sr. Public Relations Manager for the North America region, this role will support various earned media efforts and contribute to our overall PR and social strategy strategy. This is a hybrid position, based in Chicago.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of integrated PR and social media campaigns

  • Monitor media coverage and social conversations, delivering insights and regular reporting to the Sr. PR Manager

  • Draft and assist with press materials, including press releases, media alerts, pitches, social copy, and talking points

  • Maintain and update media and influencer lists, while helping to build relationships with journalists, creators, and digital influencers

  • Manage and respond to inbound media and influencer inquiries in a timely manner

  • Track industry trends, cultural moments, and news cycles to identify proactive PR and social opportunities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for media events, influencer activations, and content capture moments

  • Support content development for social platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice and campaign objectives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, social, and creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across channels

  • Provide general support for internal communications and team coordination

  • Contribute creative ideas and identify new opportunities to elevate brand presence across earned and owned channels
