Description
The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) seeks a passionate and strategic Annual Giving Coordinator to join the Office of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships within the Advancement team. In response to evolving current events impacting research and innovation in the United States and around the world, scientists, engineers, and others are increasingly turning towards AAAS for leadership and community. Demand for our input, expertise, and programmatic work has never been greater, and AAAS is working tirelessly to speak up for science. AAAS's ability to be the leading voice for science that the times demand depends upon robust philanthropic support. The Annual Giving Coordinator provides a strong foundation for the work of the Office of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships by accurately and efficiently processing and acknowledging contributions as they are received and maintaining accurate constituent and financial records within and beyond the Raiser's Edge database. In addition, this position will help execute a robust, multi-channel annual giving program to achieve ambitious annual fundraising goals. The Annual Giving Coordinator will serve on the front lines of donor relations as our customer service point person and will assist as needed with administrative support to the Advancement team. Minimum Requirements

A Recruiter will contact you with next steps if you are selected for an interview. The anticipated initial rate of compensation for this position is $58,000 - $62,000 per year. AAAS currently provides the following benefits for this position: paid vacation leave, paid sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance, flexible spending account, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, retirement benefits, short- and long-term disability, each subject to the terms of the applicable program. Additional benefits may apply. Any actual offer of employment, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be made in the sole discretion of AAAS and will be based on a variety of factors, including years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant factors.
