| Position Highlights |
The Senior Coordinator, Events and Special Projects for the COM-T Office of the Dean will plan, manage, and implement special projects and events geared to marketing the college and engaging the communities served by the college, including faculty, staff, alumni, students, the University of Arizona, as well as the community of Tucson and the people of Arizona. The right candidate will assist with the development of projects and events and is responsible for coordinating and implementing them, including special celebrations, community lecture series, and joint projects with COM-T partners, such as Banner University Medicine. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Identify, coordinate and implement the planning activities for the various COM-T Office of the Dean special projects, throughout the year.
- Manage and execute the logistics and agreements for each event, which include but are not limited to: all marketing materials, catering, facilities, custodial, rentals, decor, entertainment, permits, beverages, volunteers, AV needs and videographer/photographer.
- Process disbursement vouchers to pay vendors in a timely manner.
- Attend events to facilitate/manage successful operations.
- Required availability to support events, including evenings and weekends.
- Respond to emergencies and/or resolve problems as needed in a professional manner.
- Ensure all aspects of events are implemented, and controlled, according to plans.
- Ensure adequate staffing for events.
- Assist with the creative and strategic development of new projects and events.
- Develop and facilitate the distribution of communications/marketing materials targeting the various communities we serve to publicize projects/events.
- Draft and edit scripts, talking points, program overviews and presentations for academic events sponsored by/presented by the Dean.
- Work with BioCommunications staff to design invitations and marketing materials.
- Work with the UAHS Public Affairs Office to promote various events.
- Work with COM-T Dean Senior Accountant to assure expenses stay within budget.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Knowledge of UA financial transaction processes, including but not limited to P-Card transactions, purchase orders, and banquet event orders.
