Description

As the successful candidate, you will -

Manage and maintain our organization's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, be responsible for the configuration, upkeep, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks while ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems that support core organizational functions.

Key Responsibilities -

System Administration:



  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
  • Administer user account maintenance to include creation, updates, and terminations
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models


Network Management:



  • Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewalls to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
  • Monitor network performance and optimize as needed
  • Observe system performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls


User Support:



  • Provide support to end users for system and network issues
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Provide support accessing SaaS and cloud-based applications
  • Work with the Managed Server Provider (MSP) to resolve user issues
  • Configure, deploy and manage computers, printers, iPads, and phones


Cloud and Virtualization + Other:



  • Manage the O365 tenant, Azure AD, and other Microsoft Platforms
  • Assume additional responsibilities, to support Modern Aviation's evolving business objectives
  • Sharepoint Administration


Charlotte Support:



  • Serve as the on-site liaison to Charlotte International Airport IT department in support of base network infrastructure and telephone systems
  • Manage airport issued company mobile devices
  • Act as Liaison for base customer tenants' IT needs
  • Support government networking requirements during official and VIP visits
  • Provide direct support for base camera/surveillance systems and AV systems for meetings and operational needs
  • Participate in base leadership team meetings and contribute to local operational planning
  • Support special projects and additional base initiatives as needed

Modern Aviation's Pay Range -

$92k - $96k Annual Total Cash Compensation (base compensation and bonus eligibility) + benefits.

The Modern Aviation pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or other law.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications -



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Systems or Network Administrator (or similar role)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA) preferred
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cybersecurity knowledge
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Working Conditions and Physical Demands -



  • Constantly operates a computer and periodically move around the office to access office machinery, e.g., copy machine
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service cabling and access points
  • Regularly stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to position self to maintain and/or service equipment
  • Observe details at a close range
  • Frequently lift 15 pounds and occasional lift up to 50 pounds for various needs
  • Travel up to 15% of time across the network
