Overview

As a Production Engineer within the Chief Security Office (CSO), you will provide application support for critical cyber and physical security platforms that protect the Bank's global operations. You will play a key role in maintaining stability, availability, and security while driving automation across production support processes. Working as part of the Information Security Production Services (ISPS) team, you will collaborate closely with engineering and business partners in a fastpaced, followthesun support model. Your work will directly enable the secure and reliable operation of Deutsche Bank's technology environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Level 2 production support across CSO applications, operating within ITIL processes and established Key Operating Procedures with a strong focus on security and stability

  • Own incident management from identification through resolution, including impact assessment, stakeholder communication, escalation, and postincident review

  • Maintain high availability of critical services by meeting defined Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and MTTR targets

  • Partner with engineering and program teams to onboard support for new applications and ensure production readiness

  • Deploy and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve application issues

  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and continuously improve the production support environment

Skills You'll Need

  • Proven experience supporting applications in a controlled production environment within a large enterprise or financial services organization

  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments with Ansible automation having the ability to create scipt for daily operations (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible)

  • Demonstrated experience managing incidents, problems, and changes within ITILbased service operations

  • Working knowledge of databases and data querying (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL)

  • Experience supporting security or endpoint platforms, including EDR or similar security tooling

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Automationfirst mindset with a focus on reliability and service improvement

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues for nontechnical stakeholders

  • Experience working with global, distributed teams across time zones

  • Familiarity with DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Agile methodologies

  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation or cloud certifications

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $153,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
