Reliability Manager Georgia-Pacific's Building Products division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for their Reliability Manager opportunity for the Gypsum wallboard manufacturing facility located in Newington, NH. The Reliability Manager will lead an organization that drives the fundamental understanding of equipment systems and their impact on product quality and plant efficiency. This role will interface with multiple disciplines, both Maintenance and Operations to ensure equipment systems meet production requirements and plant key initiatives. You will be responsible for leading, empowering and motivating a department of several reliability personnel. The position is responsible for reliability of electrical and mechanical equipment for a 24:7 manufacturing operation. What You Will Do in Your Role The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities and Planning teams to ensure the plant is meeting the objectives in safety, quality, innovation, and plant performance. The candidate will lead technical support for project planning /execution as well as troubleshooting electrical controls components to minimize downtime and maximize process efficiencies across all plant operations. Leading a maintenance team aligned with our Principle Based Management (PBM) Guiding Principles while continuously developing your own personal knowledge regarding PBM to create long term value with mutually beneficial outcomes. Build supervisor and leader capability. Coach, Mentor, and guide the team, ensuring their professional development, knowledge and skill building, and adherence to safety standards. Safety Leadership -Accountable for the safety performance of the reliability department, while promoting personal accountability for working safely and addressing safety concerns in all areas of the department. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the facility has effective maintenance execution practices and has the capability to monitor and improve the reliability of equipment. Partner with manufacturing engineers and asset owners to create preventive maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment performance, reliability, and longevity. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities. Manage the performance of the department, set clear priorities, and align resources to ensure timely, cost-effective completion of maintenance and reliability activities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Gatekeepers to identify critical assets and determine appropriate maintenance strategies based on reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles. Ensure tools and resources are in place to analyze equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Identify and justify capital investments required for equipment upgrades, replacements, or enhancements. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in maintenance and reliability. Lead in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Participate in the meetings with CSC Remote Asset Health Engineers. Meets regularly with direct reports, and other team as needed to increase knowledge and improve skills. The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment. At least five (5) years' experience working in a maintenance execution or reliability function in an environment that utilizes a formal maintenance work processes and data-driven action planning. Strong knowledge of maintenance methodologies, techniques, and best practices. Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and predictive maintenance technologies. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Analytical mindset and ability to drive data-based decision-making. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and related software. What Will Put You Ahead? A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Industrial Management or in a technical field Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering. Previous experience working within a gypsum facility. Knowledgeable in the areas of PLC's, conveyor systems, breakers, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Proven experience in leading a maintenance execution and/or reliability engineering team within a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable of both mechanical and electrical maintenance. At least five (5) years of experience working in a converting or high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience initiating and/or executing capital projects. Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and maintenance and reliability best practices. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
