Labor Pool (Shop Helper)

Position Summary:

A Labor Pool (shop helper) assists with daily shop operations, supports technicians, maintains cleanliness, handles materials, and ensures a safe and organized work environment. The role will report through EHS and function as a flexible labor resource focused on improving workplace organization, housekeeping, and safety conditions across all departments

Must be able to work any shift: 1st 6am - 2pm, 2nd 2pm - 10pm or 3rd 10pm - 6am

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, including sweeping, waste removal, and tidying workstations.
• Restock and organize inventory, label and deliver materials, and track completed work within the shop.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment such as drills, grinders, saws, presses, CNC routers, 3D printers, and other machinery as required.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide support in material handling, including lifting, moving, and positioning items, sometimes up to 35 lbs or more.

EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:
* 6 months prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
* The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
