What role will you play?

As member of Commodities Financing team, engage with commodity traders and marketers to understand their business models, financing needs, and operational risks, developing customized financing solutions that align with their trading strategies and working capital cycles, including conducting detailed financial analysis, such as liquidity assessments, cash flow forecasting, and leverage analysis, to evaluate credit risk and ensure sufficiency and quality of collateral supporting Macquarie's lending activities. Specific duties: structure and negotiate financing agreements, such as borrowing bases, inventory-backed facilities, and transactional loans, while coordinating with legal, risk, and operations teams to execute transactions efficiently; analyze commodity markets to assess price volatility, supply chain disruptions, and counterparty creditworthiness, utilizing analysis to refine financing structures and mitigate risk exposure; and track client performance, review financial covenants, monitor collateral positions to ensure compliance with lending agreements, and work proactively with clients to address potential risks and opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field (Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce)* and 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of investment banking experience. (*Or equivalent of Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field (Accounting, Business Administration, or Commerce) based on evaluation of education and/or experience.)
  • Prior experience must include 3 years conducting financial analysis, such as liquidity assessments, cash flow forecasting, and leverage analysis
  • 3 years evaluating credit risk, including reviewing financial statements and analyzing liquidity, working capital cycles, and collateral quality
  • 3 years structuring financing solutions for commodity traders and marketers
  • 3 years managing portfolio performance, transaction execution, and lender relationships, including monitoring financial health of borrowers, tracking collateral positions, and ensuring clients remain compliant with facility terms
  • 3 years developing new business opportunities.
Salary range for this position: $188,200 - $205,000/Year. Within this salary range the base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
