• This is a hybrid role working 2 days per week in our client's Chicago office.

**What You'll Do:**

* Design and independently code sophisticated technology solutions, ensuring high standards of security and reliability.

* Demonstrate strong proficiency in modern programming languages and develop high-quality application modules.

* Exhibit expert knowledge of database SQL, performing basic modeling and tuning to optimize data performance.

* Identify and implement opportunities for code optimization, contributing to a more efficient and scalable codebase.

* Actively use established patterns and contribute to the enhancement of best practices and development processes.

* Provide valuable input during code reviews and assist with environment build deployments.

* Write comprehensive unit tests with minimal guidance to ensure code quality and stability.

* Conduct thorough system-wide and integration testing to validate solution integrity.

**What You'll Bring:**

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.

* Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology field or equivalent relevant experience.

* Proven experience with Java/J2EE technologies, including the Java programming language, the Java Virtual Machine, Multi-Threaded Programming, and Unit Testing.

* Extensive experience utilizing the Spring Framework for development.

* Proficiency with online technologies including Spring MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax, Servlet/JSP, and Tomcat.

* Solid experience writing complex SQL queries.

* Experience operating within Linux-based operating systems.

* Familiarity and experience using Maven, Jenkins, and Git for build automation and version control.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Experience with React.

* Experience with Spring Batch.

* Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of tools.

* Experience with cloud-native application design and development.

* Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

* Experience with Postgres and/or Big Query.
