Job Summary:
The Automotive Body & Paint Shop Supervisor will manage the day-to-day activities of shop team members to ensure Roush quality standards, project budgets for hours, materials, timing, policies and procedures are met. The Automotive Body & Paint Shop Supervisor will interact and communicate with leads, shop team members, customers, and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Interact with and communicate with customers to resolve issues and ensure program timing, budget, and quality standards are met.
* Supervise team members including setting goals, providing guidance, and training.
* Manage employee conflict, safety incidents, and emergency situations.
* Work with internal departments to utilize available resources.
* Ensure shop equipment is maintained properly.
* Manage shop organization and clean-up ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.
Education and Experience (required):
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive body and paint to include 2 years of experience leading others formally or informally.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and good computer skills.
* Excellent knowledge of automotive body and paint and ability to operate shop equipment.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills.
* Able to supervise, mentor, and train team members.
* Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.
Education and Experience (preferred):
* Certificate in Automotive Body Repair or related.
* Valid driver"s license.
* Advanced computer skills.
* Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.
