Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Product Development Technician, Breakthrough Innovation! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Whatever your title, whatever your role - it always comes back to this: we're a farmer-owned co-op where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done. Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since. The Product Development Technician, Breakthrough Innovation, will support the development of new ingredients outside of our current core categories into new verticals and product forms. Additionally, they will provide support across the broader product development team to ensure ingredient documentation requirements are completed within our supplier collaboration portal. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of creativity, technical foundation, curiosity, and an ability to be hands on to execute at bench scale.

This position is designated as fully onsite and does not offer remote or hybrid work arrangements.

A Day in the Life...

  • Execute new ingredient products, formula and/or processing under the direction of the Principal Scientist, Breakthrough Innovation, following defined experimental protocols.

  • Collects, organizes and analyzes pertinent data and prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

  • Interfaces with cross-functional technical stakeholders to ensure all records meet internal requirements.

  • Monitor and ensure documentation approvals are completed in a timely manner.

  • Provides technical, lab and documentation support to the broader product development team as needed.

  • Conducts product shelf-life studies including staging, monitoring and documenting stability data.

  • Conducts pilot plant studies in collaboration with cross functional partners.

  • Travel to technology partners and pilot facilities as needed to support trials and/or commercialization of new ingredients.

Annual Salary:

$44,900 - $61,710

The base salary range information above serves as a guideline of the position's typical hiring range.
