About The Linder College of Business

The Lindner College of Business (LCB) mission is to empower business problem-solvers to tackle the world's toughest challenges. The college has an established national reputation for excellence in several academic areas across its undergraduate, graduate, and online programs. The college enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduates, 900 master's students, and 45 doctoral students.



Development. This office is responsible for all external relations activities, playing a role in Co-op/hiring, Centers and Institutes, Lindner Professional Programs (executive education), and more. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting external relations specific to Co-op/hiring but will regularly interface with team members responsible for employer relations in other areas.

Job Overview

The Associate Director of Employer Relations is responsible for leading and coordinating employer engagement efforts within the college. This role strengthens strategic partnerships, fosters collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and ensures data-driven, impactful employer engagement. The Associate Director also oversees key employer-facing events, advisory boards, and system integrations while working closely with career services and partnership development to streamline processes and amplify employer and alumni involvement.



This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

  • Triage all inbound requests for employer-related partnerships, assist employers in setting up their Handshake accounts and posting positions, and manage all on-campus recruiting events.
  • Create and execute data-driven plans to engage current and prospective employers through targeted outreach.
  • Manage a major subdivision within a department, center or institute responsible for development, implementation and administration of goals to achieve strategic objectives; assume management responsibility for a wide range of projects/tasks associated with primary business operations and/or corporate relations with which decisions and quality of execution have significant impact and influence service delivery on a division, campus or university level.
  • Formulate, recommend, approve and implement internal policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to increase internal business and/or external corporate partnerships and advance service levels; responsible for policy execution and results that enrich the department/center, the campus and the university; consults with Director on major policy changes affecting other departments; authority to grant exceptions.
  • May be responsible for coordinating a function or program(s) in which decisions and quality of execution have significant impact on external relations.
  • May be responsible for collaborating efforts with administrative and academic units (i.e., Public Relations, Academic Colleges, Foundation, etc.) to enhance business/community partnerships.
  • Develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; authority for function budget, revenue and expense planning and approving expenditure; delegated signature authority for programs or functions within department or center; may serve as department business administration officer.
  • Prepare reports, disseminate/interpret information, provide advice, write proposals, deliver presentations, construct contractual agreements, and ensure that all programs and services comply with university, state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate and assist students, parents, corporate partners to resolve questions and complex issues; represent the university internally and externally.
  • Assist with administrative leadership and supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff; hire, orient, train, mentor and evaluate assigned staff; monitor and coordinate staff development and training programs.
  • Serve on various university, division and departmental committees and may represent the department at various state and national associations; may function for the Director in his/her absence, as required.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Minimum Requirements
Required Education

Bachelor's Degree


Nine (9)years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement


Required Experience

Five (5) years related experience

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information:$70,000 - $75,000
