Position Summary Parker Lord is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our Chemical Sales Team! In this position you will be responsible for professional management of existing business and sales growth of Parker Lord Industrial Assembly Protection & Solutions (APS) business with Product Assembly, Electronic Materials and Thermal Management products in an assigned territory sold through distributors and select direct customers in the Southeast region of the United States, covering several states. This role will preferably be based in either Cary, NC or Atlanta, GA, but we are open to other locations across the Southeast. If you are local to Cary, NC , you will be in our Cary, NC office on a 4 day in office 1 day remote hybrid schedule when not traveling. Responsibilities include collaborating with distributor sales personnel and current and potential direct customers to build and manage a robust sales pipeline, leading to ongoing sales growth. The incumbent is responsible for working with Parker Lord functional groups to identify and win new sales opportunities with existing Parker Lord structural adhesives and electronic materials and to commercialize new products/technologies to address customer needs. This position is expected 30%-50% overnight travel time. Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains strong client relationships with customers while meeting position objectives.
- Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages and benefits.
- Keeps up with internal and external training and development.
- Obtain specifications and approvals at key accounts to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.
- Keeps management aware of changes which would affect the sales of Parker products.
- Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.
- Assists the divisions in planning strategy to provide products and service required for their assigned accounts. Actively supports cross divisional and other group products with proper referrals.
- Coordinates and provides training at the customer.
- Provides sales direction to Parker and assists in the conversion of competitive accounts to Parker.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of related sales experience
- Experience selling adhesives or high value consumable products through distribution partners
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and cultivate strong customer relationships.
- Strong technical aptitude and knowledge base
- Possesses knowledge related to adhesive applications and/or experience working in a manufacturing environment including knowledge and experience of materials, processing, applications, testing equipment, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage many projects simultaneously with good project management, organization and planning skills
- Ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical solutions, identify and quantify the value of collaborative customer solutions for customers
- Ability to travel overnight as necessary (potentially 50%)
- Strong leadership skills, verbal and written English communications skills, including telephone skills
- Fundamental computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and capability to learn internal computer systems, SAP and BW
- Ability to actively manage sale pipeline using a CRM from sales lead to opportunity to close
- Must have a valid driving license and ability to travel 30%-50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling adhesives and/or electronic materials in manufacturing applications and/or production management knowledge
- Existing relationships with industrial OEMs and tiers
- Experience working with meter mix dispensing systems
