POSITION SUMMARY:

This role performs the testing of precision aerospace pump assemblies used in a variety of military and commercial applications. As part of a high performing team, the technician will run test conditions and collect data in accordance with the acceptance test procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a team focused approach are critical to success in this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs test functions per written procedures.

  • Records test results on data forms including flow rates, pressures, temperature etc.

  • Identifies test failures and reworks as instructed.

  • Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.

  • Actively participates in lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for

improvement.

  • Will be a member of a High Performing Team (HPT) and will contribute to team initiatives and improvements

  • May assist in training less experienced team members.

  • Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.

  • Ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with all quality requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two or more years industry related experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques.

  • Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.

  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.

  • Perform basic math calculations.

  • Basic computer skills are required. Email, MS Excel, web-based applications etc.

  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Able to effectively learn and apply the Parker Lean System.

  • Possess solid communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

  • Resiliency and a positive attitude.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. The team member is required to demonstrate manual dexterity and use hands to operate machinery. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the team member is regular attendance, and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. May be required to lift up to50 lbs.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $22.35/hr to $34.6/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
