TITLE: FSQS Manager

LOCATION: Onsite in Lithonia, GA

COMP RANGE: $103,000 - $115,000/year plus bonus

Griffith Foods is hiring an FSQS Manager to be responsible for assuring effective systems are implemented to provide for safe, wholesome, authentic, and quality products that meet Griffith US FSQS, customer, and regulatory requirements.

This is your opportunity to create an environment to develop and maintain a strong culture of quality and food safety plantwide and be a member of the Plant Management Team.

As an FSQS Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure food safety and quality of products, components and processes.
  • Develop plant and departmental FSQS related goals and objectives consistent with US goals.
  • Reviews data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
  • Maintains current HACCP and Food Safety plan. Leads HACCP Team and assures all products are manufactured using a current, accurate HACCP and Food Safety Plan.

The FSQS Manager position is well suited for you if you:

  • Are a visible manager on the production floor who connects with hourly and salaried employees.
  • Drives and supports culture of food safety and employee safety.
  • Responsible for hiring, discipline, performance review and overall management of plant Quality staff.
  • Drive continuous improvement at the local level through leading of projects to include but not limited to product testing, improved technology and training.
  • Are well organized and able to solve problems.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree and five years of food safety and quality experience.
  • Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative requirements is mandatory.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills with strong people skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate from peer to peer, subordinates, senior management, suppliers and customers is critical.
  • Strong partnership with the Plant Management Team and Compliance Manager.
  • Willingness to be onsite five days a week at our Lithonia, Georgia facility.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

This role is affiliated to the Lithonia, GA location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
