Partner closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Finance, and Joint Venture partners (including internal and tolling partners) to ensure reliable product availability and supply continuity. Own and manage inventory targets by balancing service levels, working capital objectives, and obsolescence risk. Monitor changes in demand or supply conditions and proactively adjust plans to mitigate risk and maintain alignment with business priorities. Evaluate supply scenarios and constraints (e.g., capacity limitations and lead times) and communicate impacts to inventory, service levels, and operational plans.
2. S&OP/S&OE Process Leadership
Lead monthly Supply Review meetings as part of the S&OP cycle and support preparation of materials for Consensus and Executive S&OP meetings. Identify, track, and manage supply and inventory-related risks and opportunities, highlighting gaps, trade-offs, and decision points for leadership. Drive cross-functional alignment by working with Product Management, Manufacturing, and Finance to ensure agreement on supply commitments and resulting inventory impacts. Facilitate weekly Sales and Operation Execution meetings with plant partners to monitor near-term supply execution and resolve operational constraints. Document key decisions, actions, and escalations to ensure accountability and timely resolution.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze demand, supply, inventory, and capacity data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain reporting that tracks key supply chain KPIs, such as production plan adherence and inventory performance. Utilize planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP) and analytics tools to support scenario modeling, planning insights, and leadership decision-making.
4. Continuous Improvement & Capability Development
Lead or support initiatives to improve supply planning processes, system utilization, and cross-functional workflows. Partner with planning process owners to benchmark against industry best practices and enhance S&OP capabilities. Support strategic initiatives including system implementations, planning capability upgrades, and supply planning support for new product introductions.
