As a Total Rewards & HRIS Specialist at DN, you are responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of all the HR technology systems, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the Company. Additionally, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating and managing the employee compensation and benefits programs.
Responsbilities
Compensation
- Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
- Prepare and maintain job classifications and salary scales.
- Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; assess results and market trends; make recommendations for enhancements or improvements to keep DN's plans competitive and effective.
- Prepare and maintain employee data, reports and systems for annual compensation events. Consolidate and analyze manager recommendations and prepare summaries for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FLSA and other related wage or benefit laws and regulations.
Benefits
- Administer employee insurance and savings programs such as health, dental, life and disability plans and the company 401(K) plan. Ensure accurate and timely data to carriers, plan administrators and other appropriate service providers.
- Provide necessary reports for eligibility/billing charges and oversee the processing of monthly billings for all group plans.
- Act as the primary liaison with the designated plan brokers and carrier representatives troubleshooting and resolving employee issues.
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
- Administer all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork.
- Monitor benefit plan trends and assist with future benefits designs. Develop specific recommendations for review by senior management.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes.
HRIS
- Oversee and maintain optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
- Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users. Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with HR staff and Technology to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.
- Compile records, reporting and other documentation required by federal, state and provider rules, regulations and policies.
- Compile or assist with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
- Assess current systems and utilization; identify and recommend improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency.
- Lead collaborative projects with Finance, Technology, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or related program with at least 5 to 7 years of experience with compensation, benefits administration or HR information systems.
- Hands-on experience with developing and administering total rewards programs, and HR reporting
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets; strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret data efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and ability to manage recurring deadlines
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefit programs.
- Construction industry experience preferred - specifically Prevailing Wage, Davis-Bacon and Unions

This is our good faith estimate of the base salary compensation range for this opportunity. Individual pay decisions will vary based upon the experience and qualifications of the applicant. This range is based on market rates and determined by considering many factors such as external market salary survey data, internal data for comparable roles, and the operational and budgetary objectives of the company.
