The Dudley, MA facility is home to Operations, Global Lens Engineering, and Research and Development teams that work together to develop, pilot and manufacture, semi-finished, polycarbonate lenses for premium markets. We also supply coatings, inks, inserts and other innovative products to customers throughout the world.

This position involves calibration of machinery and equipment.

GENERAL FUNCTION

Oversee and administer the Documentation Control System. Maintain standardization and control of company documents. Investigate and drive overall system improvements based on business needs; train company employees in the use of the Documentation Control System.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Oversee and administer the overall documentation control system. Drive standardization and control of company and external documents (ISO and beyond) and improvements to the documentation control system.
  • Partner with others in the organization to ensure consistency and control. Assist employees with the creation of and maintenance of documents Train and coach company employees in the use of the documentation control system.
  • Accept requests for new and/or changes to existing documents. Process requests and ensure closure.
  • Structure documents and files for ease of retrieval. Create and maintain consistency in rules and practices.
  • Initiate procedures/work instructions needed for documentation control.
  • Record all changes to documents. Track document changes through to completion and approval.
  • Issue documents for approval.
  • Issue copies of new documents to company personnel in the "Controlled Document Binders" and retrieve old versions as required.
  • Archive hard and soft copies of old documents.
  • Is an active member of department and facility teams. Actively participates and shares knowledge with
  • team members and other teams. Challenges the team with new ideas and models good work habits. Attends and participates in internal team meetings. Supports the success of the team and takes initiative and responsibility to ensure the team's goals and objectives are met. Helps others to achieve and succeed with team objectives and supports the growth and development of their team.
  • Supports the facility's policies and procedures and is responsible for a healthy and safe team environment.
  • Takes pride and ownership in their own work, the facility and the team area.
  • Serves as a training resource.
  • Participates and or supports in the STARpoint system and/or other teams.
  • Supports the development of others.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong advanced Microsoft Office skills.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Familiarity with document control systems a plus.
  • Familiarity with TMS a plus.

Pay Range:24.50-37.61
