Description Evaluates compensability on complex claims, manages medical and indemnity files across multiple jurisdictions, and applies Claims Best Practices in investigation, coverage, and loss assessment. Communicates professionally with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and agents while ensuring timely, accurate administration of statutory benefits and payments. Reviews medical documentation for treatment appropriateness, establishes and manages reserves, identifies and resolves claim issues, and pursues subrogation when appropriate. Manages litigated claims in partnership with defense counsel and specialists, coordinating internal and external resources to support resolution. Maintains accurate, compliant claim files and participates in claim reviews, audits, special projects, and other assigned duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance, workers' compensation, medical, customer service, or related field. Workers' compensation claims experience (medical and indemnity) strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Strong communication, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims technology. Knowledge of workers' compensation statutes across multiple jurisdictions. Insurance designation and adjuster license (or ability to obtain) preferred.
